Composer and musician Veryan Weston has invited a small choir made up of students and faculty at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, for a UK tour. Some of the singers originally come from Northern Iraq, Serbia, Italy, Canada, Armenia, the Tyrol and the UK. In addition to concerts there will also be workshops where participants can learn about different styles of singing from ethnic to experimental including beat boxing, yodeling and overtone singing. The choir will perform at various venues and make a recording for BBC Jazz on Radio 3.
