The ACF London is proud to present the virtual premiere of BODHI PROJECT's new piece – Chorus Line!
Originally scheduled to premiere in London earlier this year, the Austrian dance company's newest project was created together with the Hungarian choreographer Adrienn Hód and focuses on paradoxical phenomenons between movement, stillness, monotonity and attitude.
The deconstruction that can be observed through-out the piece brings together the tough athleticness of marching bands and the sensitivity of the Chopin nocturnes. The contradictory nature of the deconstructed performances thus force the audience to look beyond the object of their attention and observe a deeper sense. This way the dancers raise questions on individuality and collectivity while building a piece that brings strong provocative characteristics that are not unfamiliar to the work of Adrienn Hód.
Based in Salzburg, BODHI PROJECT is considered one of the most profiled contemporary companies for young professional dancers in Europe and is internationally recognized as an exceptional platform for contemporary choreography, consistently reinventing itself with a sensational artistic range.
Concept and choreography: Adrienn Hód
Dancers: Csenger K. Szabó, Imola Kacsó, Jeanne Laurent Caron, Márton Gláser, Noémie Anneg, Cindy Ng
