This 2-day-conference, co-organised by Dr Heide Kunzelmann (Institute of Modern Languages Research) and Prof Jonathan Long (University of Durham) will take place a few months before what would have been Bernhard's 85th birthday. It seeks to explore the impact of Bernhard's works and poetics on writers, critics, translators and other literary professionals in the United Kingdom.
