In May of this year the Soundings theme, Inspired by Mahler, honoured the great man in his anniversary year. The week’s workshops, talks and concerts were Critic’s Choice in Time Out and were received with great acclaim. At the Forge Soundings will present More than Mahler – a concert with the Fidelio Trio, Loré Lixenberg, Patricia Rozario, Rowland Sutherland and Gerald Davidson. The programme will include compositions from Soundings
2010 by Elisabeth Harnik, Emily Howard, Robert Fokkens, Gerhard Krammer, and Ian Vine as well as works by previous Soundings composers, Johannes Maria Staud and Reinhard Fuchs. To compliment this evening’s repertoire, Patricia Rozario will perform two sets of Mahler Lieder.
