Soundings is a unique platform for contemporary music, initiated in 2004 by the Austrian Cultural Forum London. It presents and profiles young composers and performers from Austria and the United Kingdom in workshops, symposia and concerts.
From 4 to 7 May 2009, Austrian composers Gerald Resch, Thomas Amann and Manuel de Roo together with their English counterparts, composers Emily Howard, Claudia Molitor and David Fennessy, will work with musicians including mezzo soprano Loré Lixenberg, flautist Rowland Sutherland, and the Fidelio Trio (Darragh Morgan, violin; Robin Michael, cello; Mary Dullea, piano). As in previous years, discussions and interviews will be led by distinguished music critic Annette Morreau and Soundings project manager
Andrea Rauter.
