(In)Scape are site specific promenade performances created by Jo Shapland in collaboration with performers Will Dickie (England), Klaus Seewald (Austria) and musician/composer Dewi Evans (Wales). It is a kinesthetic meditation on how human presence impacts on architectural space and how architecture impacts on human presence. Processed voice, industrial sound samples from the Oriel Mostyn gallery building site, and moving piano melodies, are in dialogue with live dance and singing. Performers lead the audience around the architecture of the new galleries, encouraging and enhancing imaginative engagement with these new architectural spaces.
