Rohan de Saram, former cellist with the legendary Arditti Quartet, is one of the most important performers in the UK’s contemporary music scene. During a career spanning almost sixty years, Rohan has worked with the leading composers and ensembles of his time. He continues his quest to explore new music and improvisation in a special concert at the ACF London where he will perform world premieres by young Austrian composers which were especially commissioned for this concert. Rohan selected two pieces by Johannes Berauer and Helmut Rogl. The composers will attend the concert and speak about their compositions. He will also perform pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Egon Wellesz, Roberto David Rusconi, and Luciano Berio, who wrote his 'Sequenza XIV' for Rohan.
