Piano Concert: Verena Zeiner - Fragments of a Whole
Thu 4 Jun 2020
Join us for a very special solo piano performance in an intimate setting. The Austrian pianist and composer Verena Zeiner presents her latest work Fragments of a Whole.
Listen to her new pieces, all composed at home during lockdown. Fragments of a Whole is a musical reflection on questions that arose when the outside world came to a halt and on the search for the answers within ourselves. Those questions are numerous and diverse, the answers never definite. They change with perspective and only exist as fragments of a whole.
With her music, Verena Zeiner brings the listener into a space of intimacy and insight.
Zeiner is a pianist, composer, improviser and pedagogue, based in Vienna. Her music is strongly influenced by Jazz and the approach to music it implies. She leads her own bands, performs in various ensembles, works with dancers and is the founder of the platform Fraufeld. She also teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and leads various international music-related workshops.
Tune in for this versatile piano concert, celebrating Verena Zeiner’s stunning new work.
