The first NAS concert this year will feature the talented young Austrian cellist Wilhelm Pflegerl. Graduating with honours from Stefan Kropfitsch’s class at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Pflegerl was awarded the first prize at a state competition in Klagenfurt. He has performed as principal cellist in the Vienna Youth Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra, Ireland and the Vienna Concert Society, and as a soloist with the Orchestra Society Vienna and Pro Musica Salzburg.

For the ACF London Wilhelm Pflegerl will perform works by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Richard Strauss.
