In Vienna 1938-1945, the buildings No 4 and 6, Nelkengasse represent a particularly tragic location in the 6^th district. In these houses, many so-called Sammelwohnungen were installed – group flats where Jewish families lived following evictions from their homes. From here, 31 people were deported to concentration camps and murdered there. This film tells the story of the Moldau family and features interviews with Heinz Moldau, only 16 when he fled Vienna.
