Event info

Musarc first performed a choral (solfège) version of In C and Neil Luck’s Any’s responses with Melanie Pappenheim in March 2015 at MK Gallery, in response to the show How to construct a time machine. Lin Chiwei's Tape music is a participatory music project by the artist and has seen many performances by audiences and amateur ensembles all over the world since 2004. Musarc first performed Tape Music at Cafe OTO on 2 April 2015. On this occasion, we are performing a new score Chiwei wrote for the ensemble. Alvin Lucier's I am sitting in a room will be performed by Alex de Little and Joseph Kohlmaier.

Doors to the concert open at 6pm. The setup of the concert and auditorium will be informal. There is no fixed stage, and the seating arrangements will change as the evening progresses. The audience is invited to move around, use the chairs, balcony and floor to sit. There will be a number of short and longer breaks between pieces. The bar and food stall will be open all evening. There will be no additional lighting in the space and darkness will fall as the sun sets. The audience will be given candles to illuminate the chapel. The concert is expected to finish at sunset, which is 9.21pm on Saturday 20 June 2015.
