The Mozartists’ three-day festival of music from 1770 is the first ever detailed musical exploration of the formative year that Mozart spent in Italy. Highlights include UK premières of excerpts from operas by Guglielmi, Piccinni, Mysliveček, Celoniati and Gasparini – many not performed since the 18th century – and insights into Mozart’s first major opera, Mitridate, re di Ponto. The full programme of concerts, talks and illustrated lectures can be found here.
