In a village in Egypt, young men dream of migrating to Europe. In Vienna, Egyptian migrants long to go back home. Paradise, both sides of this dialogue tell, is always elsewhere. And perhaps happiness lies not in making old dreams come true, but in finding new ones. Messages from Paradise #2 continues the story to Morocco and the Netherlands. Both the first and second film will be presented at 3 London screenings.
Daniela Swarowsky is an Austrian artist and cultural producer living and working in Rotterdam and Berlin. Since 2003, she has been focusing on migration in a range of art-, film- and video projects.
