Longing for Europe: Stefan Zweig in exile

  • Tue 23 Feb 2016
  • 5:00PM

In times when Europe is faced with so many political and economic challenges, it is important to emphasise that Europe is more than a marriage of convenience, it is a project for peace built on an incredible historical and cultural heritage. The life of Austrian author Stefan Zweig was marked by war and a deep love for Europe. He is often described as one of the first Europeans and his life and work are a reminder why European unity matters.

The Cambridge University European Society is very happy to welcome Dr. Renolder (University of Salzburg) and Dr. Görner (Queen Mary University of London) to have a conversation about Stefan Zweig's life, ideas and work.
