On the occasion of the anniversary of the November Pogroms, the ACF London hosts a special memorial concert with renowned chief Cantor of the Great Synagogue Vienna, Shmuel Barzilai, and pianist Paul Gulda. This special programme introduces liturgical-cantorial works evoking visions for a better future.
Shmuel Barzilai was born in Jerusalem, Israel. He has been the chief Cantor of the Vienna Jewish community since 1992. He has sung with philharmonic and symphonic orchestras throughout Europe, Israel and the USA. Paul Gulda was born in 1961 in Vienna and studied piano with Roland Batik. He also performs throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas.
