Please join us for this exciting conference for LIBRARIANS!

The ACF is excited to announce that we joined EUROLIS - an association of librarians and information professionals from various cultural institutions founded in 1998!

More info on EUROLIS can be found here.

The 2022 Seminar will take place over 3 weeks | Wednesdays 09, 16 and 23th November 2022, from 4 to 6pm.

This seminar will analyse experiences of how libraries from different European countries contribute significantly to sustainable development. It will show what activities are being proposed that advocate the inclusion of libraries and access to information as part of national and regional development plans which will help meet the UN 2030 Agenda.

Please sign up here and chose your slot!

Seminar Chair & UK speaker: Ayub Khan, current President of Libraries Connected and recently elected to the governing board of IFLA.

Wednesday 16th November | 4.00pm (GMT): Small steps make big changes - examples for small steps towards a green public library in Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria

We are thrilled that the seminar will feature Mag. Christina Krenmayr from the Stadtbibliothek Innsbruck!

In 2018, the Stadtbibliothek Innsbruck was reopened in newly built premises. One significant dimension of the reopening is the principle of sustainability. Libraries are inherently sustainable since they follow the sharing over buying principle. So over the past years, many small steps have been taken towards a green public library. These steps are designed to conserve budgets and resources and can easily be applied to libraries of any size.
