We are pleased to announce, that this year, we have joined EUROLIS, an association of librarians and information professionals from Europe, founded in 2002.
- We believe that libraries and information services are vital for building an educated and open society;
- We support the idea of a free Europe that flourishes through its diversity and tolerance of other cultures;
- We emphasise that the whole, created by trust and cooperation between its members, is greater than the sum of its individual parts.
We work together to raise the profile of European library services in the UK, with the primary aim of promoting our countries’ literature, languages and cultures and strengthening our information professionals’ network and cooperation.
Eurotoolbox is a special collection of literature for children and young adults in French, English, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish, put together by the respective European Institutes’ librarians, and is offered to acquisition librarians who are interested in promoting European languages to young people.
The collection is a FREE for professional librarians to borrow for two weeks or more at a time.

EUROTOOLBOX 2022
The selection aims to raise awareness and understanding of the importance of human rights, inclusion and representation in literature.
With the Eurotoolbox, you will have the resources at hand to work on various subjects, with 60 authentic and popular books.
All books have two things in common: they all represent exceptional literature in their original language, chosen by an expert team from each country. The books also all include one (or more) book that reflects this year’s theme: tolerance and kindness.
For the first time, the EUROTOOLBOX offers an AUSTRIAN COLLECTION. Check out the catalogue of trailblazing Austrian literature for children and young adults here.
EUROLIS organises an annual seminar on relevant topic for all librarians, teachers, information professional in the UK with expert speakers from participating countries.
