One of Austria's leading ensembles for new music is finally making its way to London with an hommage to Morton Feldman. Ensemble Reconsil was founded in 2002 and has established itself as one of Austria’s leading ensembles for contemporary music.At the ACF London Ensemble Reconsil will perform as a quartet. The concert will feature music by contemporary Austrian and British composers, including works by Luciano Berio, Morton Feldman and Georg Friedrich Haas, as well as the world premiere of a new piece by Adam de la Cour.
Ensemble Reconsil has premiered more than 100 works by internationally renowned composers from all over the world, such as Detlev Müller-Siemens, Sidney Corbett, Michael Finnissy, Michael Blake, Karlheinz Essl, Fredrik Österling, Peter Köszeghy, Olga Rayeva, Faraj Karaev and Andrew Toovey.
Apart from contemporary music, classics of the 20th century and the music of the 2nd Viennese School are a central part of the ensemble’s repertoire.
Reconsil has performed at International Festivals such as Wien Modern and ISCM Music Days and has premiered more than 200 new works.
