This special evening event commemorates the 100th anniversary of Rainer Maria Rilke’s Duino Elegies, a set of ten elegies written by the Austrian poet Rainer Maria Rilke from 1912 to 1922. They are frequently referred to as Rilke’s most acclaimed poetic work. This project brings together literature with visuals and music in the manner in which Rilke sought to engage all the senses. Theatre producer and actor Elisa Terren, visual artist Luma Launisch and sound artist Aram Zarikian aka zitrone have, in consultation with literary scholar Professor Robert Vilain, devised the programme as well as produced visuals and soundscape. Expect a wealth of poetic, musical and visual highlights!
