Due to the high demand for this event, we are delighted to offer a limited number of tickets for a special preview performance. Join us for this dress rehearsal of 'SHADOW. Eurydice says' and experience the final run-through of this show, ahead of the public performance.


Join us for the preview of this unique live theatre performance of 'SHADOW. Eurydice says', a stage adaption of Elfriede Jelinek's critically acclaimed work. The play is produced by renowned Austrian director and Nestroy Theatre Prize winner Sabine Mitterecker and performed by UK based actress Sarah Melis. Expect an outstanding theatre piece full of humour and ambiguity, composed in highly musical language.

This evening was developed for the ACF London to celebrate Elfriede Jelinek's 75th birthday in 2021.

Sabine Mitterecker, born in Austria, holds a Master's degree in philosophy and has been a director since the early 90ies. She later founded www.theaterpunkt.com and was the (co-)producer for many productions in Vienna and abroad. (including Berlin, France, Luxembourg, Gdansk, Sarajevo,Tirana and Switzerland). She received the Theatre Award NESTROY-PRIZE in 2000, 2002 and 2010.

Sarah Melis, born in Germany, currently based in Oxford, is a theatre and film actress. After engagements at Kammerspiele München, Theatre Konstanz und Baden-Baden, she is now a freelancer, working in English, German, Dutch and Greek. She was co-recipient of the Film Art Award 2019 at the "Festival des Deutschen Films".

Wolfgang Musil, born in Austria, is an associate lecturer at the Institute for Composition and Electroacoustics at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna since 1985. He worked on numerous tape compositions, performances, sound installations, theatre music, literary settings, and radio plays. He has closely cooperated with THEATER.punkt and has been the sound director for Sabine Mitterecker's productions for many years.
