Each year Woodhouse presents an opera festival in its open air amphitheatre in a magical lake setting. Its an intimate experience without the need for mics or binoaculars.  The theatre borders the lake and famous Gertrude Jekyll Gardens while the main house is a gem of an Arts and Craft building by Oliver Hill. A smaller indoor theatre will be used in case of inclement weather.

This year's performance is set in Seville at the time of Goya, suggesting a red blooded and visually stunning production. A fully staged production with orchestra, singers, dancers and actors will perform Mozart's Don Giovanni in Italian. Sir Thomas Allen has coached the principals and these rising stars are protegees of Dame Kiri te Kanawa and others

There is an introductory talk at 4pm in the concert hall
