Join us for a riveting discussion on digitalisation and its effect on the constitution of a democratic society.
The event will take place at the Austrian Embassy and the Ambassador, Dr. Michael Zimmermann, will give a welcoming address and generously invites all attendants to a reception after the talk.
From populist echo-chambers on social media to digital e-commerce, there remains no field, industry, concept or theory untouched by the digital era. As a result of this, we are forced to re-think both the challenges and dangers these developments bear for the meaning of Karl Popper’s notion of the Open Society. In an attempt to approach this complex multi-facetted subject in a productive manner, we turn to the arts and its treatment of the digital to create space for a critical dialogue.
