This is a psychological immersive theatre show, blurring the lines of performance and reality by Austrian illusionist and theatre-maker Philipp Oberlohr.

Intelligent, hilarious and different, Philipp is known across Europe for his unique magic theatre shows, and this Spring he is bringing his most mind-blowing experience to Ovalhouse.

Philipp Oberlohr was born in Austria, and has been an illusionist for the last fifteen years. After studying Theology at the University of Innsbruck, Philipp trained at the International School of Corporeal Mime in London. His work spans from one-to-one installations to performing to large audiences, and centers on creating experiences that are immersive, site-specific, intimate and interactive ("The Magical Mystery Tour”, “séance", "closer"). He has toured to the Barbican Centre, Arcola Theatre, Last Tuesday Society, Yard Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith as part of the All Change Fun Palace, and internationally to Austria, Serbia, Hungary and Germany, to critical acclaim: "Oberlohr completely wins me round on Saturday night" (Catherine Love, exeuntmagazine.com), “the accuracy of his guesses: genuinely spooky!” (Time Out), "supernatural" (Irish Times), “outstanding magic” (femalearts.com).

A theatrical performance like no other, DAS SPIEL is a new kind of performance. Audience members become participants in The Game, a game that promises to charm and bewilder. It moves and it moves you.
