In March 2011 the Southbank Centre in London will be hosting a festival of work from the next generation of European choreographers entitled DancEUnion. The Festival was first held in 2008 with the participation of 23 countries. Curated by Nicky Napier it has been developed in partnership with the EU Commission in London and the London cluster of EUNIC (European Union National Institutes of Culture). This unique event will focus on bringing together talented emerging artists, who are already showing great potential for creating work. Work will be presented across the site and will be preceded by a week-long residency where choreographers will have the fantastic opportunity of being mentored by a senior choreographer, share their practice and engage with each other.
