Ten years of European collaborative projects between new graduates of the Royal College of Art and industry partners across the EU in the area of people-centred design are to be featured in a major exhibition this autumn, held as part of the London Design Festival 2009. Curated by the Helen Hamlyn Centre at the College, the exhibition includes furniture, products, communications and films, and will explore design for ageing, inclusive design, workplace design and design for patient safety. Austria will be represented by leading furniture company Bene, which is working this year with Irish designer Catherine Greene on a project called ‘Space for Thought’, creating new furniture concepts for knowledge-based organisations.
