2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Austrian painter Maria Lassnig's death. To celebrate the remarkable life and career of this Austrian artist our CineClub presents a short programme dedicated to her oevre. This evening features a programme of her short films curated by sixpack films.

We are thrilled to screen some of her best and least known short films including Baroque Statues. (15 min) in which statues break away from the constriants of their wooden models through dance, Art Education. (8 min) featuring feministic interpretations of famous paintings by Vermeer, Michelangelo and others, to The Ballad of Maria Lassnig. (8 min) where she recounts her life story full of irony, humor and wisdom.
