Choreo–graphic
Figures: Deviations from the Line is an interdisciplinary research project
developing shared practices for making ‘thinking-in-action’ and
‘thinking-feeling-knowing’ tangible within a collaborative
artistic-epistemological process. Central to our enquiry has been the
development of a system of notation (choreo–graphic figures) for sharing an
often hidden aspect of the creative process.
Choreo–graphic
Figures: Deviations from the Line is an artistic research collaboration between
writer-artist Emma Cocker (UK), artist-performer Nikolaus Gansterer (AT) and
choreographer-dancer Mariella Greil (AT), in dialogue with other artists.
Central to our enquiry is the development of a multimodal and performative
system of notation (choreo–graphic figures) for sharing this often hidden
aspect of the creative process.
