Artist Anna Vasof will activate a variety of absurd domestic devices for her performance Mechanisms of Happiness.
This work is programmed as part of the exhibition Tender Touches (19 October 2016 to 13 January 2017) and in association with the Feminist Avant Garde in the 1970s exhibition at The Photographers' Gallery.

Anna Vasof is an architect and media artist. Born in 1985, she studied architecture at the University of Thessaly (2010) in Greece and Transmedia Art (2014) at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Since 2004 her videos and short movies have been presented in a range of festivals. Vasof is currently completing a PhD related to a specific animation technique that she is developing and, at the same time, working on designing and building innovative mechanisms for producing critical and narrative videos, actions and installations.

Daria Khan is an independent curator born in 1987 in Moscow. She completed her MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, 2013. Her selected curated exhibitions and projects include: Levitate, Freiraum 21 International, MuseumsQuartier Vienna, 2015; The Colour of Pomegranate, Solyanka State Gallery, Moscow, 2014; Public Programme of 5th Moscow Biennial, 2013.She has also co-curated exhibitions including: No one lives here, Royal College of Art, London, UK, 2013; and Still Moving (screening) Bloomberg New Contemporaries Film Salons, ICA, London, UK, 2013. In 2014, she was a contributing speaker at Histoires d’Expositions Symposium, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris. She worked as curator in residence at the MuseumsQuartier, Vienna, 2015 and at EUNIC programme at Palais de Tokyo, Paris, 2016.
