The contemporary music ensemble airborne extended was founded in 2013 by four female musicians: Elena Gabbrielli (flutes), Sonja Leipold (harpsichord/ keyboard), Caroline Mayrhofer (recorders/ Paetzold) and Tina Žerdin (harp). At the Sonic Arts Research Centre in Belfast they present emerging composers including a world premiere by Adam McCartney.
