Michaela Grill, one of Austria’s most prominent exponents in digital art has been invited to present an audiovisual live project at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Grill’s videos are a skillful synergy between image and sound and deal with the question of cinematic perception and its reduction into abstract forms. She will also present a performance at London's Apiary Studios.

Austrian video artist Michaela Grill together with Canadian filmmaker Karl Lemieux and British turntablist Philip Jeck, will present a unique and improvised audio-visual performance in which image and sound, analog and digital elements are synergistically interwoven. Following its successful first run in 2013, Black Box Live returns for another packed evening of expanded film performance, featuring some of the biggest names in the live audio-visual scene: Sally Golding (UK), Michaela Grill (Austria), Karl Lemieux (Canada), Philip Jeck (UK), Guillaume Caillleau (Germany) and Jan Slak (Slovenia).
