Bringing new music and light into the world. Point Contact launch their album - A Fleeting Point In Terrifying Beauty - bringing their full AV show developed by interdisciplinary artists David Altweger and Margarita Köhl to the beautiful Old Church in Stoke Newington.
The evening will commence with presenting the collaborative works by students from the Department of Design of Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences and the Department of Electronic and Produced Music of Guildhall School in London. This prelude will be followed by a performance by Gray Cunnington (Test Dept) who navigates a fractured landscape and is supported by pulsating images created by Ludmilla Andrews. The evening culminates in a mesmerizing audiovisual show, developed by David Altweger and Margarita Köhl, staging the new album “A Fleeting Point in Terrifying Beauty” by Point contact.
"A Fleeting Point In Terrifying Beauty is both mobile and monumental, a huge analogue sculpture of heavy guitars, electronics, dark Ambient and percussion. In its foreboding but ravishing elemental approach it reminds of the harsh stone brilliance of Ben Frost, the horizon stretch of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and the ritualistic, dry ice solemnity of Sunn O)))"
