The Austrian Cultural Forum London is delighted to present the incredibly talented Austrian pianist Mitra Kotte in a special piano recital celebrating female composers of the 19th and 20th century. Through her performance, Mitra highlights the significant contributions of women to Western classical music.

Female composers have faced many obstacles during their professional careers. Despite difficulties, however, they have created outstanding pieces of music that still touch audiences today. The selection of works provides a historic overview of compositions by women in Western classical music and emphasizes the diversity of their compositional styles and musical ideas.
