Leo Records 30th Anniversary Unsung Music Festival

  • Sat 20 Jun 2026
  • 1:00PM

A dazzling array of musical legends mark the premiere of an astonishing new film with a celebratory salute to Leo Records' vibrant legacy.

Celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of Leo Records’ Unsung Music Festival and the incredible output of recordings that the 87-year-old Leo Feigin has produced for the improv and free jazz community, it seems a fitting moment to highlight, recognise and honour Leo’s vibrant legacy in this field. This one-day festival of innovative, improvisational music(s) at King’s Place in London, assembles many of the finest practitioners from the UK, Europe and Russia that Leo Records has promoted so extensively. The live content of the festival will be expanded by two screenings of the poignant new documentary Leo Records: Strictly For Our Friends, which explores a lifetime of dissidence and dissonance, from Soviet Russia to rural Devon, and so many uncharted musical landscapes in between.

The line up will feature Austrian experimental violinist Mia Zabelka together with Sainkho Namchylak.
