We are delighted to welcome the Gugg Piano Duo to the ACF. The duo will present an exciting, well-curated programme spanning 200 years of music, from Franz Schubert to the 20th century (with an adaptation of Stravinsky's famous Petrushka) and beyond (Hanna Kulenty's VAN, written in 2014).

Tereza Gugg-Kalabova and Johannes Gugg formed the Gugg Piano Duo during their teenage years, developing a profound understanding of ensemble playing through their shared artistic growth. They have received numerous prizes, including multiple first prizes at major international piano duo competitions and a special award at the ARD Music Competition in 2021. Most recently, they won first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition Franz Schubert and Modern Music in Graz.

Tereza and Johannes perform extensively across Europe, appearing in recitals, with various orchestras, and on television and radio broadcasts. Their concert engagements have taken them to some of the most prestigious venues, including the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Vienna Musikverein, and the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest.

Both completed their Piano-Solo studies with Ayami Ikeba as well as their Instrumental Pedagogy studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with distinction. In June 2025, they also graduated with distinction from the Master's Programme Piano-Duo in the class of Sivan Silver and Gil Garburg. For the years 2025 and 2026, they have been selected for the NASOM sponsoring program of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs.
