Enemies: Feinde

  • 12 May 2015 — 14 May 2015
  • 7:00PM

Enemies: Feinde will take in three performance events in London, one exhibition and a feature at the European Literature Night in Edinburgh. Feinde will bring together some of the continent's most dynamic poets representing the width and power of the Austrian avant-garde: Ann Cotten, Jörg Piringer, Max Höfler and Esther Strauss. As well as presenting their own work, these four Austrian poets will present brand new collaborations with British poets including James Wilkes, Prudence Chamberlain, Robert Herbert McClean and SJ Fowler, across sound poetry, visual poetry and language poetry.

The Enemies project is about poetry in collaboration - across the arts, across languages & nations, across form, style & content - a multifarious, multidisciplinary but essentially cogent program of events, exhibitions, tours & publications that provide the grounding to comprehensively explore the notion of collaboration in a contemporary, active, innovative realm of poetry.
