“DO YOU SEE ME NOW” is a short documentary that presents feminist voices in Japan. Four young activists discuss the role of women, the struggle for equality and the challenges of self-realization in a country that seems closed to many issues.
The film was made thanks to the Beate Sirota Gordon Award by the Austrian Cultural Forum Tokyo in 2022, and subsequently shown at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan and the department of Japanese studies at the university of Vienna.
We are thrilled to present the first ever screening of the film in London, featuring an introduction and discussion with filmmakers Martha Schnuderl and Yuki Gaderer.
