The Longborough Festival Opera presents a new semi-staged production of Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s 'Die tote Stadt'.

A dangerous obsession with the past threatens to become deadly, as Paul struggles with unsettling dreams in this thrilling opera noir by one of history’s most remarkable composer-prodigies.

Acclaimed conductor Justin Brown and director Carmen Jakobi lead a semi-staged production of this rarely performed work.

Korngold’s 'Die tote Stadt' will involve the Longborough Youth Chorus, following their successful debut in The Cunning Little Vixen during the 2021 season.
