On the occasion of the UK release of LITTLE JOE the BFI will feature the works of Austrian writer-director Jessica Hausner, who has established herself as one of the most interesting, ambitious and intriguing filmmakers at work in Europe today. This comprehensive season, which includes such acclaimed titles as LOURDES and AMOUR FOU, highlights her distinctively balanced, ambivalent approach, dealing with characters who are experiencing disturbingly strong, even extreme emotions.
