Alexander Mueller at London Design Festival

  • 22 Sep 2016 — 25 Sep 2016

London based furniture designer Alexander Mueller will present his living and dining collection as part of the London Design Fair at the London Design Festival this September.

Winner of the 2013 Heal's Discovers Award, Mueller has drawn on his previous experience designing for Heal's and Capsbury to develop the Dahlia Collection – a monochrome solid European ash series comprised of a dining table, bench, coffee table and bookshelf designed for contemporary living with a communal feel. Produced in collaboration with family run Italian Manufacturer Universal, the debut collection combines local raw materials and modern engineering processes with traditional craft techniques.

Having grown up in Austria, Mueller spent the majority of his time in his grandfather’s workshop working with materials and learning conventional techniques. His move to London in 2008, to study at the CASS School of Design, allowed him to develop his design language and immerse himself in his new urban surroundings, which have in turn formed the inspiration for the detailing featured in his designs.

The Dahlia Collection will debut in the UK at the London Design Fair (stand F33) during the London Design Festival.
