In 2026, the Austrian Cultural Forum London is turning 70! Rather than celebrating the ACF itself, we want this to be an ACF—A Celebration of Friends, honouring anniversaries and birthdays of artists and institutions that make “28 Rutland Gate” a vibrant hub for cultural exchange between Austria and the United Kingdom.
The ACF would not be the ACF without our friends, partners, collaborators, and all those who came before us!
When looking back on the history of the ACF, we also would like to honour the role of the large Austrian and Jewish survivor and émigré community in London. They founded numerous cultural societies and institutes and presented Austrian culture and science in the United Kingdom long before the opening of the “Austrian Institute” in 1956. The ACF’s relationship with exiled Austrians and their descendants has always held special significance because they were central to making the Austrian Cultural Forum London what it is today.
Watch out for our 70th anniversary logo and join us for 70 Years ACF—A Celebration of Friends!
