WriteAUT is a collaboration between nine universities across the UK and Ireland, initiated by the Austrian lecturers. Students participate in creative writing competition, addressing a topic from the Year of Remembrance: the 1848 Revolution, the First Austrian Republic (1918), Annexation (1938), the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) and the ‘68 Movement.

Two texts form each university will be published in the writeAUT magazine and online at the writeAUT homepage (www.writeaut.at). The two overall winners will be announced in ceremony at the Austrian Cultural Forum on 20 April and will read their texts for the audience.
