Filmmaker and artist Clement Page will present two of his recent films, Light that Obscures (2014) and Hold Your Breath (2009), which are based on the case histories of Sigmund Freud. These cases focus on phobia and Freud’s realisation that it does not matter if the events that triggered a person’s phobia are real or imaginary; the outcome is the same.

As a filmmaker Page was drawn to this topic because these case histories, read as a narrative, are rich in visual and dramatic possibilities.
